The Cherubim, artwork from the game Spiritual combat
Is Spiritual combat free?
Yes. The game is part of the Jesus Beatitude platform and is played free of charge in the browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Do I have to install an application?
No. The game opens in the browser. The platform can also be added to the phone's home screen, like an application, if you wish.
I cannot see the game on the platform
That is normal: the game is optional and hidden by default. It is switched on in the settings, in the Spiritual relaxation section. You can close it again whenever you like, and it changes nothing about the rest of your account.
Is the game violent?
No. The threats are pushed back, not killed. There is no blood and no real weapon. And when a threat reaches one of the people you protect, Jesus steps in: you lose points, never someone.
Is this religious teaching?
No. The names and references come from a biblical reference base, but the links between a threat and a trial are design choices of the game, not a doctrine. Spiritual trials are treated there in the symbolic sense.
Where are my progression and my settings stored?
On your device. The difficulty level, for instance, is a local setting that is never sent to the service.
How do I unlock the Templar Knight?
He asks for three bosses defeated, the third stage cleared, 4,500 points in total and the major threat challenge, then 400 progression points. He is the most demanding companion in the game. Once unlocked, he is chosen in place of a reinforcement, never on top of one: one spiritual reinforcement per game.
Why is my reinforcement not acting?
Each reinforcement has a speciality: the size of the threat, its mobility, its category. It acts only against what matches it, and it never obeys your taps. Tapping the character, on the other hand, makes it throw its secondary weapon, if it has one, and sliding it moves it across the field.
My gauge is not filling any more, why?
Satan has broken it. Press Defense: the button calls the Cherubim, who rebuild it in ten seconds, or the Seraphim in three if you have unlocked them. It comes back completely full, and a short window protects you before he can start again. At the Catechesis level, Satan does not appear.
My phone is a modest one, will the game lag?
The low quality and essential mode settings lighten the display, and reduced motion removes the effects. The rules of the game stay exactly the same.
Which languages can I play in?
The game exists in French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic. This official site exists in the same five languages.
Why only one angel at a time?
Because an angel acting alone hits far harder than when all three fired together, and because changing angel has become a decision in the game: every threat has its weapon, and always repeating the same attack teaches the demons to turn it back. The change is free and immediate, during the game.
Does the shop cost money?
No, never. The seven items are bought with the progression points you earn by playing. There is no real payment in the game, and no item spares you from reacting.
What are the themes of life for?
To give the trials a face: if you choose a theme, every demon carries the label of a difficulty from that theme. It is symbolic and playful, never a diagnosis, and you have no personal information to enter. Free combat, with no theme, remains available.
